Review of the Tokina AT-X 17-35mm F4 PRO FX lens by Nasim Can Isik, Tokina ambassador

In the ultra wide-angle range of lenses for full frame DSLR, 2 Tokina models compete: the recent opera 16-28mm F2.8FF (an update of the well-known AT-X 16-28mm F2.8 PRO FX) and the AT-X 17-35mm F4 PRO FX. Admittedly, the last one is not as bright as its famous colleague, but it is not without merit: a low weight, good optical performance due to aspherical and super-low dispersion glass elements, and a wider focal range in comparison with the 16-28mm.

Nasim Can Isik, Tokina ambassador, is using since a lot of years the AT-X 17-35mm F4 PRO FX throughout Europe (in the dangerous Chernobyl nuclear zone, in the very cold weather in Northern Norway and hot weather in Turkey etc.).
