High optical quality of Avantar binoculars is realized by ED lens (low dispersion glass elements) used in objective lens and eyepiece unit. Incorporation of ED lens was a primary challenge for Kenko optical designers in order to minimize axial chromatic aberrations along with lateral chromatic aberrations and correct field curvature. As a result, clear and sharp image without color fringing, halos, diffraction, or distortion across the entire field of view.

    Enhanced Clarity with ED Glass

All light transmissive surfaces of lens elements and prism are AR fully multi-coated. Additionally, phased coated prism integrates ultra-high reflective dielectric coated film that results in more than 94% better light transmission, natural color rendition and contrast.

32mm objective lenses provide high light-gathering capability and performance, matching the needs of birders, hunters, and travelers.

    Compact and lightweight design

Extremely light weight that is 410g deliver carrying and handling convenience compared to other brands. The chassis is made of a reinforced polycarbonate to help reduce weight without sacrificing strength. Thanks to this, the body will not only remain a constant temperature even in cold and wet conditions, but it will not expand like common metal chassis that can cause the optical elements to move out of alignment over time and thus decrease the sharpness of the focus. Rubber exterior provides shock and well slip-resistant grip.

    Water-proof performance

Kenko Avantar 8x32 binoculars is filled with nitrogen gas to prevent water from entering the internal components of the device and causing fogging or condensation on the lenses.

    IPX7 (equal JISB7261 (ISO9022-8) standard): Depth 1m for 10min.

    Long eye relief

The Kenko Avantar series provides more than 15.7mm eye relief that prevents eyestrain even after many hours of utilization. Even users who wearer glasses will enjoy wide field of view thanks to twist-up type eyecups.

    Wide angle of view

Apparent angle of view (60.3°) allows to observe a wide area at a time.

    Sophisticated and exclusive strap

The Kenko Avantar series comes with sophisticated and exclusive strap. This strap adopts thick fabric that reduces the burden on the body and provides comfortable support for prolonged observation. The padded area is made of thick, lightweight neoprene that absorbs shocks and reduces pressure on the neck and shoulders. The shape of the strap is curved to fit the neck and shoulders line. The strap comes with a one-pointed Kingfisher tag.
